Six people were killed in the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro where missiles struck on Friday (December 29) a shopping centre, a maternity hospital and a residential building, officials said.
Nurses that were on duty in the maternity hospital told Reuters they brought mothers and children to the shelter in the building's basement just when the air raid alert was issued by local authorities.
Russia targeted Ukraine with 158 drones and missiles overnight, aiming for critical infrastructure, industry and military facilities, the Ukrainian military said.
There was no immediate comment from Russia.
