Due to the recurring attacks on commercial ships in the Arabian Sea, the Indian Navy took action on December 25 by deploying three warships. Among them were multiple Guided Missile Destroyers, namely INS Mormugao, INS Kochi, and INS Kolkata, strategically stationed in the Arabian Sea. The Navy reported the consistent deployment of long-range maritime reconnaissance P8I aircraft to uphold domain awareness. This response occurred just two days after the merchant vessel MV Chem Pluto suffered a drone attack along the Indian coastline in the Sea.
