The Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Center (VBJDC) provides temporary and safe custody of juveniles that have criminal charges that require a restricted environment for their own protection or the protection of the public. While residing at the JDC, a number of programs and services are provided on site to assist residents throughout their detention.
