December 21 was a Doomsday in Prague as an assailant opened fire at Charles University killing 14 people and leaving 25 wounded. The 24-year-old was identified as David Kozak. Kozak was a student at the faculty of arts at Charles University and fell from the roof of the building after opening fire on Jan Palach Square. Prior to this incident, Kozak had left his village of Houstoun located 20 km west of Prague after suspectedly killing his father. He was enrolled in the Institute of World History at Charles University's arts faculty in Palach Square.
