A strike on a home in Rafah in southern Gaza Strip where families were sheltering killed at least 25 people, including a 2-year-old boy and his newborn sister, whose bodies were brought to two local hospitals early Tuesday.
The children's grandmother Suzan Zoghroub brought the bodies to a hospital bed where their injured father Mahmoud was being treated.
She said the house was hit while they were sleeping and that rescuers helped pull out the dead and the survivors.
“When we woke up, we found the whole house had collapsed over us,” said Zoghroub from the Kuwaiti hospital in Rafah.
