External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar defended India’s relations with Russia amid western criticism over expanding ties with Moscow despite Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Jaishankar called Russia a “valued and time-tested” partner for India, adding that “politics and global order has to change”. He also labeled Russia a “strong votary” of a multipolar world order. Jaishankar is on a five-day Russia visit to boost bilateral cooperation between New Delhi and Moscow.
