The ED has mentioned Priyanka Gandhi’s name along with her husband Robert Vadra in the recent chargesheet filed against Sanjay Bhandari in a money laundering case. Priyanka Gandhi has been not named as the accused in the case but her name has been mentioned in the context of a land deal involving one of the accused. Robert Vadra also purchased 3 pieces of land measuring 334 Kanal (40.08 acres) in Amipur from H.L. Pahwa from 2005-2006 and sold the same land to H.L. Pahwa in December 2010. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, wife of Robert Vadra also purchased agricultural land measuring 40 kanal (05 acres) in village Amipur, District Faridabad, Haryana from H.L. Pahwa in April 2006 and sold the same land to H.L. Pahwa in February 2010. Pahwa was receiving cash out of the books for the acquisition of land. ED has alleged that Robert Vadra did not pay the entire sale consideration to Pahwa. The investigation in this regard is still ongoing.
