A suspected drone infiltration alarm sounded in the Upper Galilee, activating alerts across several communities in northern Israel on December 28. French newspaper Le Figaro claims Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah was informed of Hamas’s October 7 plan just half an hour before the attack was launched. The Institute for the Study of War and Critical Threats Project claim Hamas is using “more sophisticated weapons systems” against the IDF. Hamas fighters reportedly used a “thermobaric rocket” for the first time against Israeli special forces in the as-Saftawi area, north of Gaza City. Pro-Palestinian protesters blocked traffic around the Los Angeles and New York International airports early on December 28.
