Hopes are growing for another ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza as the palestinian militant group’s chief Ismael Haniyeh arrived in Egypt for truce talks. Israel has reportedly offered Hamas a two-week ceasefire and release of Palestinian prisoners accused of serious offences. In return, Israel wants 40 hostages including children, women and noncombatant males. Around 130 hostages are believed to be still in Hamas and other militant groups’ captivity.
