As many as 20,057 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7, as per the Health Ministry in Gaza. The figure amounts to nearly 1% of the territory’s prewar population, the Associated Press reported.
390 Palestinians were killed and another 734 people were injured in the past 48 hours, the ministry added. Israel disputed the figures, claiming the Hamas-run ministry is inflating figures to create the illusion of an Israeli-created humanitarian crisis.
The Director-General of Gaza's Health Ministry, Munir Albroosh, and members of his family were injured in an Israeli strike, according to reports. The Israeli air strike reportedly targeted Albroosh’s sister's house in Jabalia which is said to have killed his daughter, Jana.
