On Wednesday in Rafah, southern Gaza, people prayed and shrouded the bodies of the dead, while other residents were seen sifting through the rubble and debris of ruined houses.
Bloodstained shrouds and blankets covered the bodies of dead children who were carried through the streets, with one mourner saying the dead were "innocents."
Meanwhile, The lives of 15-year-old twins Sujood and Mutasem Abu Abed have changed beyond recognition since they were forced to flee their home during the conflict.
"My two children are autistic,” said the mother, Asma Abu Abed, adding, "Right now, we've been cut off from everything."
“Where are we supposed to go? Will this be the last time? This war has gone on too long, too long," the grandmother of the twins, Um Mohammed said.
