So, viewers, I was talking about two individuals who showcased their musical talents in the pop music industry, and their names are still written in golden letters in the pop music scene. We are going to talk about Zoheb and Nazia Hassan.
Nazia Hassan, often referred to as the Queen of Pop Music in Asia, left us at the age of 35 due to lung cancer, but left behind her brother and son. Even today, Zoheb is struggling with severe mental trauma after the passing of his sister. Zoheb couldn't adjust to the world of music after Nazia's departure. Zoheb and Nazia shared an extraordinary bond; he was deeply attached to his sister. This is why they remained inseparable, even from childhood until Nazia's last moments. Zoheb still visits Nazia's grave every week.
Zoheb was born on November 18, 1966, in Karachi. Although he initially had little interest in music, witnessing his elder sister's passion for it sparked his own interest. Nazia supported him significantly. Perhaps this was the reason that he couldn't form a similar bond with anyone else in the music industry as he did with Nazia. Both siblings initiated their career with the show "Sung Sung," a creation of the great writer Fatima Surayya Bajia. Zoheb didn't originally want to be part of the show, but for Nazia's happiness, he had to participate. Both siblings were incredibly beautiful. Their beauty brought them into the limelight. Zoheb didn't want to be part of the show initially, but for the sake of Nazia's happiness, he had to participate. They both, through their exceptional beauty, brought the show into the limelight.
This was the beginning of their journey, and both siblings became gems in the field of music. During their debut, they were underage and still in their studies. In the 1970s, both went to London for their education in music and started singing there. They gained recognition there, and Indian director Feroz Khan heard them and provided them with an opportunity to sing in his film "Qurbani," where they performed the song "Aap Jaisa Koi Meri Zindagi Mein Aaye." This was the turning point when they gained recognition in Pakistan, and people started recognizing them. They released albums and gradually rose to fame.
In 1992, when Nazia and Zohaib were at the peak of their singing careers, Nazia was diagnosed with lung cancer. At this time, Zohaib took Nazia to London for treatment. After several years of treatment, Zoheb announced his marriage to businesswoman Ayesha Beg. Their singing careers were flourishing. In 1997, Nazia gave birth to a son named Arez. However, in 1999, Nazia was again diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, this time, she couldn't fight back, and she passed away in 2000. She was buried in London. Zoheb, being deeply attached to his sister, struggled with the loss even after so many years.
Nazia left us with beautiful songs like "Aankhen Milane Wale," "Dosti," "Disco Deewane," "Dil Mera Kehta Hai," and many more.
There is no doubt that the fame of Nazia and Zohaib was a collective achievement. After all these years, their popularity hasn't waned. In 1992, when Nazia and Zoheb were at the peak of their singing careers, bad luck struck again as Nazia was diagnosed with lung cancer. At that time, her age was only 30 years. As soon as the disease was diagnosed, Zoheb took Nazia to London for treatment. After several years of treatment, Zoheb finally announced his marriage to Ayesha Beg. In 1997, Nazia gave birth to a son named Arez. Unfortunately, in 1999, Nazia was again diagnosed with cancer. This time, the cancer was so severe that she couldn't fight back, and she breathed her last in 2000. Her funeral took place in London.
