The UK's prime minister was asked about his predecessor Boris Johnson during an interview with ConservativeHome on Thursday.

He said 'the past is the past' and that Johnson resigned over economic policy when questioned over whether he could be trusted after helping to bring down the former prime minister. Sunak was then asked whetherJohnson would be returning to cabinet, in which he dodged the question and said he would not comment on reshuffles. He then went on to say: 'It's great that we've got former prime ministers who want to contribute to public life'
