STORYLINE:
An Israeli airstrike struck a residential building in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza late Friday, killing at least 30 people, including five women, according to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs hospital where their bodies were taken.
The targeted house was owned by Mohamed Khalifa, a TV journalist with a local television channel, who was killed in the strike along with seven family members, said his relative Belal Khalifa.
The rest were displaced people who sheltered in the house, he said.
Fifteen bodies were found after the strike, and first responders managed to retrieve 15 more as of Saturday noon, according to Khalifa.
Emergency workers were still searching for eight others missing under the rubble.
